Fatal Japan Bombing Linked to Coronation

TOKYO —
Two time bombs apparently planted by leftists to protest next week’s coronation of Japan’s new emperor ripped through a police dormitory, killing an officer and wounding six others, police said today.
The attack occurred as police reinforced security prior to the Nov. 12 enthronement ceremony for Emperor Akihito, which will be attended by scores of foreign dignitaries.
