* Henry G. Kohlman has been named to the post of vice president and chief counsel at Sanyo Icon in Irvine. Prior to joining the computer products company in September, Kohlman spent four years as a corporate vice president and general counsel at Cipher Data Products Inc. in San Diego, and was also a director of Optimen, a Cipher subsidiary. From 1977 to 1986, he worked as patent counsel and chief counsel for Microdata Corp., a McDonnell Douglas Corp. subsidiary, and chief counsel for McDonnell Douglas Information Systems Group.
