MOSCOW : Revolutionary Parade

Share

The Soviet capital’s once sacrosanct Revolution Day military parade across Red Square will have competition Wednesday from at least three anti-Communist protests by people who believe that the deeds of founding father Vladimir I. Lenin and his disciples are nothing to celebrate.

It’s the 73rd anniversary of the Bolshevik Revolution, but the first time city authorities have sanctioned counter demonstrations.

One group has scheduled a march to the apartment of the late human rights activist Andrei D. Sakharov to mourn millions of victims of Soviet tyranny.
