Countywide : Bus Service Resumed to County Airport
The Orange County Transit District has resumed bus service to John Wayne Airport.
The district had discontinued service to the airport three years ago, citing low ridership.
But district officials said that because of the airport’s new terminal, demand for the service has increased.
Buses leave hourly from 5 a.m. to 5:40 p.m. Monday through Friday from the Santa Ana Civic Center in the north and from Newport Center Fashion Island in the south, except during rush hours.
From 6 to 9 a.m., buses will leave every 30 minutes from Santa Ana. From 3 to 6 p.m., buses will leave every 30 minutes from Fashion Island.
Bus fare is 90 cents.
