ANAHEIM : City Now Accepting D.A.R.E. Donations
Individuals and corporations wishing to support the D.A.R.E. program in Anaheim elementary schools can now make donations to the city earmarked for that program.
Since its inception, the anti-drug education program has relied mostly on state and federal grants. The police department hopes that the donations will ensure the survival of the D.A.R.E. program.
Currently, four Anaheim police officers operate the program, teaching about 2,500 of the city’s fifth-grade students about the dangers of drug abuse.
