CARTIER, international joaillier to the rich and famous, is celebrating the opening of its new boutique in the prestigious new retail complex, Two Rodeo Drive, with a retrospective of 40 breathtaking vintage jewels dating from the turn of the century through the 1950s.

Among the priceless bijouterie on view is the 1923 Art Deco tiara (pictured) made for a Chilean aristocrat (she supplied 298 of the diamonds; Cartier supplied the other 741), which disassembles into a nice little brooch and two dazzling bracelets.

Cartier, 220 N. Rodeo Drive at Two Rodeo Center, Beverly Hills; (213) 275-5155.
