Com Systems Reports Profit in Latest Quarter

Com Systems Inc., a Van Nuys long-distance telephone company, said it had a net income of $15,000 in the three months ended Sept. 30, compared to a net loss of $4.41 million a year earlier. The company’s revenues for the quarter grew 35% to $35.7 million from $26.5 million.

For the first nine months of the year, Com Systems lost $1.51 million, compared to a loss of $6.48 million in 1989, as its revenues grew 41% to $100.5 million from $71.4 million last year.
