SIMI VALLEY : Man Hit by Car Dies of Injuries
A 52-year-old man died Monday after he was hit by a car while trying to cross a Simi Valley street, authorities said.
Juan Jimenez Larios died at 12:06 a.m. at Simi Valley Adventist Hospital apparently of massive head injuries, the coroner’s office said. Officials said they suspect Larios was intoxicated.
The accident occurred Sunday about 8:50 p.m. at Royal Avenue and Thompson Lane, Simi Valley Police Lt. Don Austin said.
Larios apparently turned and walked into the street. A car, driven by Francis Calo, 55, of Simi Valley, attempted to slow, authorities said. Calo called police, who found Larios on Royal.
