Chrysler Signs Multimedia Ad Deal: Chrysler Corp. has signed up for a multimedia marketing package from Time Warner Inc. that will draw upon the media and entertainment giant’s far-flung interests in magazines, records, movies, videos and cable TV. Under terms of the deal, Chrysler will tout cars and trucks in multipage advertising inserts or special issues of magazines such as People, Time and Fortune and in commercials on Time Warner’s cable TV systems. Chrysler also will get to place its products in Warner Bros. films and to offer Warner Bros. records, Time-Life Books and Time-Life videos as promotional premiums.
