Holua, Davis Pillsbury’s Santa Cruz 70 from the Newport Harbor Yacht Club, drifted into first place overall, 362 miles from the finish of the slow Los Angeles-to-Cabo San Lucas race.

With winds remaining light, the leaders should finish sometime Friday. Holua passed Medicine Man, but Robert Lane’s Andrews 56 from the Long Beach Yacht Club remained the overall leader in corrected time.
