Fur Trade in Canada

The article made for very interesting reading. However, as a respected member of the fur industry and the community, I would like to make a few short comments.

First, a recent Gallup Poll clearly indicates that more than 50% of the American people will wear furs without fear of intimidation, for they consider it to be their constitutional right.

The media have been climbing on the backs of the fur industry for years, and they, along with so-called nonprofit animal rights groups, will never succeed in destroying a legitimate, talented and necessary industry as ours. The referendums to ban the sale of furs in Aspen and Telluride both went down to defeat mainly because most Americans understand the necessary balance between natural resources and human needs.
