Travel Reservation Systems to Hook Up: America’s and Europe’s largest computerized travel reservation systems have agreed to link up, Scandinavian Airlines System said. The agreement will give the 85,000 U.S. travel agencies subscribing to the Sabre computer system access to Europe’s Amadeus system. Sabre, owned by Dallas-based AMR Corp., parent of American Airlines, has a 42% share of the U.S. market. Amadeus is owned by SAS, Lufthansa, Air France and Iberia. Sixty percent of European air travel reservations are made over it.
