ANAHEIM : Tree-Planting Event Open to Public

Share

ReLeaf Anaheim is sponsoring a tree planting today as part of an effort to improve the Chevy Chase area of the city.

Six residential streets near Chevy Chase Drive, which a few years ago was a drug- and crime-plagued neighborhood, will have 50 Australian willows planted along the parkways.

Those interested in helping to plant the trees should meet at 1222 W. Marlboro Ave. at 8 a.m. City parks officials also ask that volunteers bring shovels and gloves.
