Industry : City to Share Park Funds
The city will turn over to La Puente $20,000 it hopes to receive under a state environmental act to help La Puente upgrade lighting on a softball field, the City Council decided Thursday.
Industry expects to receive the money under the California Wildlife, Coastal and Park Land Bond Act of 1988, which provides funds for acquisition, development, rehabilitation, protection or restoration of park, wildlife, coastal and natural lands in California.
The council voted unanimously to approve a joint-powers agreement between the two cities, authorizing the transfer of funds to be used at La Puente Park.
