Utah Woman Raped by Gang in Park
A 19-year-old Utah woman who was in Westminster visiting friends was gang-raped Tuesday night in a park she was walking through, police said.
The attack occurred about 6:30 p.m. as the victim was walking alone in Westminster Park near Hazard Avenue and Magnolia Street, police said.
The victim told police she saw five males walking toward her in the park and tried to avoid them, but they grabbed her and forced her to a secluded area further inside the park.
Three of the men raped her as two others held her down, police said. The attackers were between the ages of 16 and 40 years old.
After the rape, the men fled on foot along Hazard Avenue, police said.
Police were unable to find any of the attackers.
The victim was taken to Humana Hospital Westminster, where she was treated and released, police said.
