No kidding!

Home builders in California have changed their attitude and now are “cautious” instead of “optimistic” when viewing prospects for 1991, according to the California Building Industry Assn.

The trade group says it discovered this switch in a survey conducted earlier this month.

The telephone survey also found that while not all areas of the state are hurting (the San Joaquin and Central valley markets are described as moderate to hot), the coastal urban markets are “most affected by the production and sales downturn.”
