Iran Accused of Secret Executions; Probe Sought

Iran’s main opposition group said Sunday that it has asked the United Nations and human rights groups to investigate the secret executions of 40 of its members by Tehran since 1988.

The Moujahedeen, or “Holy Warriors,” has accused Iran of executing 90,000 people since the 1979 Islamic revolution. It said the 40 secret deaths have just come to light.
