SAN CLEMENTE : Parents Are Invited to Self-Esteem Talk
A free program for parents who want to improve the self-esteem of their children is scheduled for 7 tonight at Truman Benedict Elementary School.
Peggy Bielen, co-author of Project Self-Esteem, a text used in the Capistrano Unified School District and elsewhere in the state, is the scheduled speaker. The meeting is open to all parents, including those whose children attend school in other districts.
“We are using our anti-drug abuse money to pay for this because improving a child’s self-esteem is proven to be the most effective way to combat that problem,” Principal John Hopkins said.
The school is at 1251 Sarmentoso.
