Rykoff-Sexton Inc.: The Los Angeles firm said second-quarter profit totaled $4.6 million, down 2% from the same period a year ago. Sales rose 5% to a record $377.8 million. The company said earnings were affected by the implementation of a variety of cost-containment measures. Rykoff-Sexton is a leading manufacturer and distributor of food products for restaurants, institutions and grocery warehouse stores.
