The Chargers’ Marion Butts was named Tuesday as the AFC offensive player of the week.
Butts rushed for 159 yards on 26 carries and scored two touchdowns as the Chargers defeated the New York Jets 38-17. Butts leads the NFL in rushing with 1,154 yards and needs 26 more yards to break the San Diego club record of 1,179 set by Earnest Jackson in 1984.
