Ousted Chad President Seeks New Homeland

YAOUNDE, Cameroon —
Former Chad President Hissen Habre of Chad, who was ousted last weekend by rebel leader Idriss Deby, is looking for a new home in exile, officials said Thursday.
They said he arrived Wednesday in Yaounde from the northern town of Maroua and has started making diplomatic contacts to seek a country of asylum.
