JOHANNESBURG, South Africa — A 12-foot-long python kept armed soldiers at bay after it slithered into a classroom in a primary school in Swaziland, the South African Press Assn. reported today.
Soldiers were called to the school Monday to remove an “intruder” but backed away when they saw the snake. The soldiers, teachers and students watched from a distance as four local men stuffed the python into a sack and took it away.
