American Honda Motor Co. reportedly is considering building a new Civic model at one of its Ohio plants starting in about a year.

Sources told the Cleveland Plain Dealer in a story published today the new model will not be produced in Japan. It would be built only in Marysville or nearby East Liberty, Ohio.

The company on Thursday introduced its first station wagon produced entirely in the United States. It is a 1991 model Accord and was designed, engineered and developed in the United States. The wagon will be built exclusively at Honda’s manufacturing plant in Marysville.
