Canoga Park Woman Dies in Head-On Crash

One woman was killed and three motorists injured when two cars collided in a Reseda intersection, Los Angeles police said Thursday.

Florida Rivera, 50, of Canoga Park was killed about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday when the car in which she was a passenger was struck head-on by a car on Saticoy Street at Tampa Avenue, police said.

Dagoberto Barrera, 31, of Canoga Park was driving west on Saticoy Street with Rivera when an eastbound car driven by Patricia Aguado, 19, of North Hollywood turned in front of them, police said.

Barrera, Aguado and Aguado’s passenger, Latanya Davis, 26, of North Hollywood suffered minor injuries in the collision.

Police said Aguado was not cited, but an investigation was continuing.
