Local : Burbank Fire Leaves 2 Homeless
An early morning fire today at a Burbank apartment building left two people homeless and caused an estimated $27,000 in damage, fire officials said.
The blaze in the 500 block of Rosemary Lane erupted at shortly after midnight and was confined to one apartment, Battalion Chief Ken Whittekiend said. It burned for about 10 minutes before being extinguished by 16 firefighters.
Damage to the structure was estimated at $20,000, and personal possessions lost inside the structure were valued at $7,000, officials said. There were no injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, officials said.
