5 Die as Tanker Truck Explodes in Village

CHANDIGARH, India —
Five people were killed Monday when an Indian village was engulfed in flames after a gasoline tanker truck crashed into a wall and caught fire, police said.
Officers said that about 50 homes were destroyed when the tanker sprang a leak and exploded in flames after smashing into a wall in the Punjab village of Patiala.
At least 74 people were injured and five died of burns. Of the survivors, 15 were in very serious condition, police said.
