Milken to Appeal Sentence: Lawyers for former junk bond king Michael Milken notified a federal court that they intend to appeal the 10-year prison sentence imposed last month by U.S. District Judge Kimba M. Wood. The single-page notice of appeal to the U.S. 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals, filed Wednesday, doesn’t give any reasons for the appeal. Lawyers will do so later. The appeal could considerably delay the start of Milken’s prison sentence, which is scheduled to begin March 4.
