Metropolitan Circuits Files Chapter 11 Action

Metropolitan Circuits Inc., a Santa Ana manufacturer of printed circuit boards whose only subsidiary filed for bankruptcy protection a month ago, has itself filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
In a filing in federal bankruptcy court in Santa Ana, Metropolitan Circuits Inc. listed assets of $1.5 million and liabilities of $3.8 million, while the subsidiary, Metropolitan Circuits of California, listed assets of $7 million and liabilities of $11 million. The company said it hopes to continue operations.
