Chiat/Day Wins Shearson Account: After suffering through one of the worst years in its history, the New York office of the ad firm Chiat/Day/Mojo won a major piece of new business by picking up the $20-million account for Shearson Lehman Bros., a division of American Express Co. The account was formerly handled by the New York ad firm Ally & Gargano. Although Chiat/Day’s Venice office has been on a roll with several recent new client wins, earlier this year its New York office lost both the Reebok and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines business.
