Mitchell J. Anthony, 89, a co-founder and board chairman of Investors Savings & Loan Assn., now Imperial Servings, and a veteran advertising executive. Before going into the savings and loan industry, from which he retired in 1972, he was advertising manager of the Pasadena Star-News, president of the California Advertising Executives Assn., and author of “Just the Type,” a reference work on newspaper typography.
