World IN BRIEF : MOROCCO : 300 Face Charges in Workers’ Riots

More than 300 people have been charged in Tangier, Fez, Rabat and Kenitra for their part in riots last weekend and most of them will stand trial next week, defense lawyers said. The riots erupted when two labor groups called a general strike for more pay. An official statement said five people were killed and 127 injured in Fez.
