Three men accused of beating nose tackle Joe Phillips of the San Diego Chargers in a restaurant parking lot pleaded not guilty to felony assault charges.

Brett Dost, 21, David Hanna, 22, and Scott Stewart, 25, entered their pleas during a hearing before San Diego Superior Court Judge Jesus Rodriguez, who set a March 19 trial date.

Also, deputy district attorney Mark Pettine said he filed two new misdemeanor assault charges on Thursday against Hanna involving two other victims. Pettine said Kimberly Judson, who was with Phillips at a Mission Beach restaurant at the time of the assault on Sept. 26, and a witness, Zack Carillo, also were assaulted.
