U.N. Vote Against Israel on Palestinians

The obsessive preoccupation of the U.N. Security Council with Israel’s alleged violation of human rights reveals the stark hypocrisy and double standard of that august body.

Not a single criticism, much less condemnation of any of the tyrannical regimes in the world has ever been heard or discussed in the Security Council. Not China or Cuba or Yemen or Syria and other notorious countries that flagrantly and constantly abuse and kill their inhabitants have ever been condemned by the Security Council. All it does is focus on little Israel--the one and only democracy in the Middle East, the most reliable ally of our United States.

We must repeat that Israel has not conducted wars of conquest, nor has it threatened the annihilation of any other people or nation. Israel’s defense against attack by Arab nations resulted in the need for Israel to be in the territories. This situation will change only when the Arab states, still at war with Israel, take appropriate steps to make peace.
