Associated Press
RIO DE JANEIRO —
Two men boarded a city bus and began passing out money they said they had taken from a foreigner, a newspaper reported.
“We mugged a gringo and we’re loaded with cash,” the Jornal do Brasil quoted the unidentified men as saying.
They passed out 500-cruzeiro ($2.85) bills to the startled passengers and wished them a happy New Year.
They also gave the bus’s change maker 1,000 cruzeiros.
