Series on Criminal Justice System in Los Angeles
I would like to applaud your series. It is accurate, very timely and hopefully will wake up our sleeping politicians to the desperate need for sweeping reforms in our laws dealing with crime and criminals.
Your series makes it clear that the criminal justice system cannot provide even minimal protection to the ordinary law-abiding citizen today. If you want the criminal element to take over complete dominance of our society, all you have to do is strip the law-abiding citizen of his last line of defense by convincing our politicians that we want gun control. We certainly do not want gun control until the criminal justice system can be made to work, and probably not even then. Law- abiding citizens should not be required to be sitting ducks.
