Voters Disfranchised
City Atty. John Witt has written a decision recommending that the current District 5 has the right to vote on the recall of Councilwoman Linda Bernhardt as well as to elect the new council person.
Has the City Council forgotten the people in the new District 5? Why should we take the person voted on by Mira Mesa and Scripps Ranch for our council person for the next 3 1/2 years? The Clairemont residents should have the right to vote on our council person for the next 3 1/2 years.
Do the City Council and Mr. Witt have the right to take away our vote in 1991? We don’t think so.
We are asking all concerned citizens who vote to appear Wednesday at 2 p.m. at City Hall, 202 C St., 12th floor to help us fight for our right to vote.
