Guenther Mader of Austria won a men’s Super-G race at Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. Franz Heinzer of Switzerland became the skiing World Cup overall leader by finishing second.
Heinzer earned 20 points and moved ahead of Alberto Tomba of Italy, 104 points to 97.
