Shawn Hamilton, a 6-8 center for the University of San Diego, is scheduled for a hernia operation this morning at Sharp Cabrillo Hospital.

Hamilton, who has played in just three games, said he has been bothered by the injury most of the season, but it has gotten progressively worse.

Hamilton, a senior, could be out for the remainder of the season.

Sophomore Brooks Barnhard, another center, had back surgery earlier this season and will probably be out for the rest of the year as well.
