Sony Forms Software Unit: Sony Corp. is forming a New York-based subsidiary, Sony Software Corp., to direct its worldwide software activities. The lion’s share of the software is entertainment-related--films, tapes and records--but the company also will be involved in computer software. Norio Ohga, president and chief executive of Sony Corp., will be chairman of Sony Software.
