Bank Loans: Small companies in Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties reaped a record harvest in bank loans guaranteed by the U.S. Small Business Administration, the agency said.
The Santa Ana SBA district approved 569 loans for a total of $199 million in the three-county area during the fiscal year ended Sept. 30. The amount easily topped the previous year’s record of 398 loans for a total of $120 million, the agency said.
Most of last year’s loans, as in previous years, went to Orange County companies. They picked up 302 loans, totaling more than $104 million.
