NATION : Bank Robbed Twice in 4 Hours
A bank was robbed twice within four hours, the second time just half an hour after FBI agents investigating the first robbery had left.
Bank officials “were in a little bit of shock, but I think they feel the same as we do, that it was just a coincidence,” FBI Agent Gene Harding said. He said today that authorities have suspects in both robberies.
The bank branch was robbed at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday, Harding said, by a man who handed a teller a note demanding money. He got an undetermined amount of money and fled on foot.
About 1:30 p.m., shortly after FBI agents had left and the bank reopened, another man walked in and handed a teller a note demanding money, Harding said. That man also fled on foot with an unknown amount of cash.
