Countywide : Nordeck Reelected Planning Chairman
Stephen A. Nordeck has been reelected by his colleagues on the County Planning Commission to serve as chairman for another year.
Commissioner Roger Slates was selected as the vice chairman.
Nordeck represents the 3rd Supervisorial District in the county, which includes Trabuco Canyon and other southeastern parts of the county. He was chosen for a second term as chairman, Slates said, “because the Trabuco-foothills area still needs so much work.”
He said much of the commission’s recent work has involved planning for land east and north of Mission Viejo because it is one of the few areas of open space left in the county.
