Last year, the Orange County Transit District launched a training program to improve bus-driver performance.

About 80 students went through the program, and the transit district says that accident claims among program graduates have fallen by 25% and customer complaints have dropped 30%.

As a result, the OCTD is one of eight organizations nominated for the “company of the year” award sponsored by the American Society for Training and Development in Orange County.
