Date Set for More Pomerado Talks
Attorneys from Poway and San Diego met Friday in Superior Court to discuss the closure of Pomerado Road, but they agreed only on when they will meet again to argue.
After a 15-minute meeting in chambers, Judge Jeffrey Miller set Jan. 28 as the date on which he will hear Poway’s motion to lift the stay of his order issued last month to open Pomerado Road “without further delay.”
The stay was imposed after San Diego last week filed an appeal of Miller’s ruling.
On Jan. 28, Miller will also consider San Diego’s request for a new trial over whether the road should be opened. San Diego has claimed that it has found new evidence supporting the continued closure of Pomerado Road.
