“Second star to the right and straight on ‘til morning” is the traditional route to Never-Never Land. But to make it easier to get there, the Walt Disney Co. is bringing Never-Never Land to Long Beach. Walt Disney’s World On Ice will bring the story of Peter Pan to the Long Beach Arena starting Wednesday and running through Jan. 20.

The World On Ice will bring to life Disney’s version of Sir James M. Barrie’s play “Peter Pan,” the boy who never grew up. Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, the Darling children and Captain Hook will be on skates this time. Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck and Chip ‘N Dale will perform with them.

The Long Beach Arena is in the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center, 300 E. Ocean Blvd., Long Beach. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday through Jan. 20, with earlier performances at 1:30 p.m. Friday, and at noon and 3:30 p.m. Saturday and Jan. 20. Tickets are $8.50, $10.50 and $12.50, and are available at the box office or through TicketMaster, all seats reserved. For more information, call the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center at 436-3661.
