Police Identify 2 Men Held in Beating Death
Two men arrested in connection with the beating death of a North Hollywood party-goer were identified by police Sunday as Tyrone Jennings, 21, of North Hollywood and Oran Douglas, 19, of Inglewood.
Police said Jennings and Douglas were among about 15 suspected gang members who beat and kicked William Younger, 37, to death early Saturday as he tried to leave a party in the 8000 block of Variel Street in Canoga Park. The assailants attacked Younger after he crashed his Cadillac into their cars.
Douglas and Jennings were being held on suspicion of murder at the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Valley Jail, Sgt. Woody Baca said. The remaining assailants are still at large, Baca said.
