Availability of Guns
I was appalled by the article (Metro, Jan. 7) about the men selling more than 1,000 guns from a van in Lincoln Park. This shows that even with tough gun laws, one way or the other, these weapons can end up in the hands of criminals.
But the real travesty was the one-year prison sentence for one man and the other facing a maximum of five years. One just has to wonder how many innocent bystanders lost their lives because these men sold guns to gang members and criminals and all they get is a small sentence like this.
