Brajdas Reports Loss of $440,613 for Third Quarter

Share

Brajdas Corp., citing its withdrawal from the semiconductor business, said it lost $440,613 in its fiscal third quarter, compared with a $473,744 loss a year earlier.

The Woodland Hills-based distributor of electronic components said its loss in the quarter ended Nov. 30 came on a 22% drop in sales, to $11.4 million from $14.7 million.

Brajdas said its almost complete withdrawal from semiconductor distribution, and the softening economy, led to the loss. The company said the change will shelter it from volatile swings in the semiconductor business.
