Countywide : HOLIDAY CLOSINGS

Monday is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The following will be closed in observance of the holiday:

All county, state and federal offices.

County, state and federal courthouses.

Libraries in the Orange County Library system and many city-run libraries.

Public elementary, junior high and high schools, except for those in the Fullerton School District and Fullerton Joint Union High School District (the holiday was observed on Jan. 14 in these two districts). UC Irvine and Cal State Fullerton will be closed, but classes will be in session at Chapman College. Most community colleges will be closed, with the exception of Cypress and Fullerton colleges.

Most banks and savings and loans. Call your local branch to confirm.

City offices will be closed on Monday in the following cities: Anaheim, Brea, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Los Alamitos, Placentia, San Clemente, Santa Ana and Seal Beach.

Mail: There will be no mail delivery on the holiday. All post offices will be closed, and mail deposited in mailboxes will be picked up according to the posted holiday schedule.

Trash: There will be regular trash pickup by all city as well as county refuse workers on Monday.

Buses: Orange County Transit District buses will run on regular weekday schedule on Monday, and there will be dial-a-ride and car-pool services available.

Parks: All city- and county-run parks and recreation facilities will be open during regular hours Monday.
