A 32-year-old Santa Ana motorcyclist was killed Friday night when he ran into the rear end of a truck that had stopped at a red light, police said.

The motorcyclist, whose identity was withheld pending notification of his family, was traveling north on Bristol Street at about 6:30 p.m. when the driver of a pickup truck in front of him stopped at a red light at Edinger Avenue, Police Lt. Chuck Magdalena said.

The motorcyclist failed to stop and “plowed right into the rear end of the truck,” Magdalena said.
